Design, Inc., Welcomes Dr. Samuel H. Fuller to its board
EVERETT, MA, May 16, 2005. Assertive Design announces that Dr. Samuel H. Fuller, Vice President of Analog Devices has joined their Board of Directors.
“Assertive Design is in a unique position to solve the ever-growing verification problem at its roots,” says Dr. Fuller. “The team has extensive experience in both design and verification, and this provides the right foundation for their innovative products.”
Assertive Design is delivering software products that enable high-quality system verification of hardware designs using assertions without the need for the separate development of the assertions. This enables all the cost reduction and quality benefits of having the assertions without the time and cost of developing the assertions.
“Assertive Design has hit upon a remarkable combination of technologies that is very much in tune with both design and verification engineers,” says Dr. Fuller. “They are executing to an aggressive development and deployment plan, which in itself is remarkable.”

Fuller, is the Vice President of Research and Development at Analog Devices Inc. In this position he guides the technology strategy of Analog, leads the design tools group within the company and other corporate wide engineering initiatives, and directs their university-based research programs. Earlier in his career, as faculty member in EE & CS at Carnegie Mellon University and then as Vice President of Research at Digital Equipment Corp, Dr. Fuller lead work in high performance computer architectures, local area networking and advances in the Internet (e.g. IPv6 and AltaVista). He holds a B.S.E.E. from the University of Michigan and a M.S. and Ph.D. from Stanford University. He is an IEEE Fellow, AAAS Fellow, and a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
